Know Before You Go: All six of Manatee Libraries’ full-service locations have resumed their regular hours and have extended their time limit.  

  • Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
  • Face coverings are required, temperature checks are requested, and the staff asks that customers limit their visits to 60 minutes in order to accommodate occupancy guidelines.
  • Computers will be available but are limited to one 60-minute session per visitor per day. 
  • The LITtle Discovery Center (for ages 2 to 5 and their parents/caretakers) has reopened by appointment Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 941-748-5555, x3807 to schedule your family's 45-minute playdate.

The Florida Library Association’s 2016 Library of Year and two-time Innovation winner, the Manatee County Public Library System supports the County’s growing community and visitors through a wide range of educational and technological resources and programs at seven facilities in downtown Bradenton (Riverwalk), the east county region, the south county area, Holmes Beach, Palmetto and Ellenton. This past year, Manatee Libraries was visited by nearly 850,000 customers who made use of our resources over 3.9 million times (a record high!). We offer a wide array of digital ebook/eaudio/movies, unique collections (e.g. early literacy kits, telescopes), databases, classes and special events for people of all ages. Check us out!
