Manatee Library Launches Mobile App

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (May 14, 2025) – The Manatee County Public Library System is launching a brand-new mobile app today, designed to bring the library to users’ fingertips like never before.

The Manatee Library app offers an intuitive, customizable experience, making it easier to explore library resources, manage accounts, and stay connected. The app’s interface allows users to customize their dashboard, access their digital library card (along with family members’ cards), and choose their preferred language—Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, or English. It also offers a powerful book discovery tool: simply scan any book’s ISBN barcode to instantly check if it’s available at the library.

Beyond browsing and placing holds, users can manage their accounts, receive real-time library updates, explore curated book lists, and seamlessly download or stream digital content through platforms like Libby, OverDrive, and PressReader. The app also simplifies event registration, room reservations, and mobile printing, making library services more accessible than ever.

"This is a great way to stay connected to your library," said Manatee County District 2 Commissioner Amanda Ballard. "It's another way to optimize your experience and bring services even closer."

The Manatee Library app is available now on iOS and Android devices. To download, search for “Manatee Library” in your app store. After installing the app, login using your library card number and PIN. If you would like to receive Library News & Announcements, these can be turned on in your Account Preferences after you have logged in.
