  Timeline

Lasting Manatee’s recovery efforts progressed from unmet needs assessments in early 2025 through HUD approval and program launch in late 2025, with applications for housing repair and recovery assistance opening in early 2026. Please visit LastingManatee.org to see the full timeline.



  History of CDBG-DR

Manatee County received $252.7 million in HUD disaster recovery funds after Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton to rebuild housing and infrastructure and reduce future storm risks. This type of funding is known as a Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery, and our County's official name for this local initiative is Lasting Manatee.   Action Plan

The Action Plan explains the outcome of Lasting Manatee's post-hurricane damage assessment (known as the unmet needs assessment), and how recovery funds will be used to repair unaddressed damages and reinforce storm-related infrastructure across Manatee County.   Project Submissions & Contracts

Organizations and County Partners can suggest infrastructure projects to be reviewed for the Infrastructure Recovery and Resiliency Program and the Infrastructure Match Program.
