Since 1985, the Library Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that works to support the Manatee County Public Library System by raising private funds to supplement county tax support. We believe the Manatee County Public Libraries are vital to the success of our community. Our support strengthens the Libraries' ability to foster excellence today and tomorrow.

The Library Foundation has supported many of Manatee Library's system-wide programs and services including the Lakewood Ranch Library's new collections, The Little Discovery Center, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, Mobile Hotspots for checkout, the Summer Learning Program, and much more!
