The Bermont Shooting Club is hosting a fundraiser for Southwest Florida Honor Flight. A clay shoot tournament will take place Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at 48571 Bermont Road, Punta Gorda. Registration is at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. start. 

Southwest Florida Honor Flight serves Veterans in Manatee, Charlotte, DeSoto, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands and Sarasota counties. Their mission is to safely transport Veterans to Washington DC at no cost to them to honor them at their memorials and given them the welcome home they deserve. Veterans Service Counselors will be attending the annual health expo for 2026. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Rossi Park, 452 3rd Ave. W., Bradenton. Come get information from our VSOs and from other groups from the community. 

SRQ Vets will host a Valentine's Breakfast for Veterans. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 7, 2026. DAV 97, 7177 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, will welcome visitors. A $15 donation is suggested. 

Legal clinics will be available at Manatee County Veterans Services, 1401 3rd Ave. W, Bradenton, from 9 a.m. to noon on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in 2026. All services will be provided on a first come, first serve basis with the last application being accepted at 11:45 a.m. Legal assistance offered at no cost to income-qualified Veterans.
