To register for Manatee Moves, the Veteran must call Manatee County Veterans Services at 941-745-3795. A brief intake will be done and/or the Veteran's DD-214 or discharge papers will be examined for eligibility. If discharge papers are unavailable, MCVS can help Veterans request them but it could considerably slow the approval process.
If the Veteran qualifies, they will be added to the Manatee Moves app, allowing them to book a ride through the app 24/7 OR to call Manatee County transportation booking lines at 941-747-1739. Booking line hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Rides are offered from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Trips can only be booked to and from designated medical/dental locations or to Manatee County Veterans Services. If a location or medical provider is missing from the system, then please submit a request by calling into the booking line.
Riders are limited to two one-way trips per day. Riders are restricted to the Boundaries of Manatee County.
Once approved, riders can download the Manatee Moves mobile app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Riders will have to use the phone number on file to log into the app which will send them a one-time code via text message to verify their identity.
Riders can book their travel up to 3 days in advance or they can book as soon as possible for the next available driver.

Hours Available: Our lobby hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. We are closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m.
Eligibility: You must be a mobile Veteran with an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge.
