Preserve Special Event Permit Application

Looking to host your next event in one of the nature preserves in Manatee County? Events may be approved provided they do not negatively impact sensitive lands or site visitors. Please fill out the Preserve Special Event Permit Application.

Weddings

We only allow wedding ceremonies within the preserves - no receptions. If you are looking for a site with an area for a reception, please consider The NEST at Robinson Preserve.

All sites have limited parking.
Capacity Maximums:

• Emerson Point Preserve
  • Classroom Plaza: 25 people
  • Mound Plaza: 25 people
  • The Point: 25 people
• Robinson Preserve
  • North Screened Pavilion Plaza: 50 people
  • Butterfly Garden/Gazebo: 25 people

5k Races and Large Events

Due to the sensitive nature of the preserves, we allow a limited number of large events that would require the preserve to be closed to the public.

Robinson Preserve

Maximum 3 large events per year. All race events with more than 150 people require closure. A separate fee is charged for each preserve entrance closed.

Emerson Point Preserve

Maximum 4 large events per year. All race events require closure. No large events are permitted on Sundays.

Jiggs Landing Preserve

Events are limited to 50 people max. Events may only set up in the green space in front of the pavilion and under the pavilion.
