Closed for Annual 5k/10 Twilight Race
Robinson Preserve will be closed on Friday, March 27, for the 18th Annual 5k/10k Twilight Race. All trails, parking areas, and amenities will be closed for the day and reopen for normal hours on Saturday, March 28.
The NEST and Canopy Zone will also be closed on March 27.
Robinson Preserve is a scenic coastal preserve that spans over 600 acres, offering visitors a blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. Located in Northwest Bradenton, it features a diverse ecosystem of mangroves, salt marshes, tidal creeks, and coastal wetlands, which provide a habitat for a wide array of wildlife, including birds, fish, and native plants.
Visitors can explore Robinson Preserve through a network of walking, biking, and paddling trails that wind through lush landscapes and offer stunning views of Tampa Bay and Anna Maria Island. Key attractions include observation towers that provide panoramic views, kayak launches for paddling through scenic waterways, picnic areas, and a canopy walkway that lets guests walk among the treetops. The preserve also has an educational component, with interpretive signage and programs aimed at promoting environmental awareness and conservation.

Accessible Walking Trail at Robinson Preserve
Location Details
There is one paved trail that begins at the entrance of Robinson Preserve and traverses the entire preserve ending at Manatee Avenue. Most of the trails are packed shell through the preserve. Please help to protect the habitat and resident wildlife by remaining on designated trails at all times.

Robinson Preserve Canoe/Kayak Launch
Location Details
The launch is available near the entrance to the preserve.The Blueways Trails connect to the Manatee River, Perico Bayou, and Palma Sola Bay, comprising over 3 miles of internal trails. A 5-mile roundtrip adventure would start at the launch and meander through the preserve to Palma Sola Bay and back.
Kayak Storage at Robinson Preserve

Access to kayak storage is sunrise to sunsetEffective September 30, 2024, all kayak contracts for both the North Entrance and South Entrance will expire September 30th each year.
