FL DOGE Manatee County Final Report

Every taxpayer deserves confidence that their money is being managed responsibly. That's why Manatee County welcomed the opportunity to partner with the State of Florida's Department of Government Efficiency (FL DOGE) to conduct a comprehensive review of County operations, procurement practices, and technology investments. This collaborative effort was designed to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen processes, and ensure taxpayer dollars continue to be spent responsibly.

The FL DOGE report analyzed more than $2.45 billion in procurement activity, 147,000+ procurement records, and 2,200+ active vendors across a five-year period. Rather than serving as a traditional audit, the report provides independent observations, identifies potential areas for additional review, and highlights opportunities where the County may be able to improve operations and maximize value for taxpayers.

We welcome this review as another opportunity to strengthen accountability and continually improve how we serve our community.
