School Year Program

 We provide access to technology, school supplies, snacks, and a School District teacher in order to provide academic support to students in Title 1 schools. We serve students K-12 to keep sibling groups together and to give high school students the opportunity to earn service hours for Bright Futures Scholarships. Avenue941 is so much more than just homework help. We are partnered with Samaritan Counseling and Grow in Grace Therapy to provide free counseling and we also offer high school internships and other opportunities for students to truly grow in academics, confidence, character development and spiritually.

Hours Available:

Program operates during Manatee County School District Calendar.

Elementary Schools: Mondays and Wednesdays - 3:15pm-5pm or Tuesdays and Thursday - 3:15pm-5pm

Middle Schools: 4pm-6pm

High Schools: 2:30pm-6pm

Eligibility:

  1. Must be Manatee County resident
  2. Must be 5-17 years old
  3. Client is academically receiving lower than 70% in any subject or scored a 2 or lower on state assessments
  4. Attends a Title 1 school or gets a free or reduced lunch
