Who Can Purchase a Rain Barrel?
All Manatee County residents and businesses are eligible to purchase rain barrels. Each property is limited to four (4) barrels.


How to Purchase a Rain Barrel Kit
Manatee County Utilities customers can conveniently request a rain barrel kit through their online account. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Customer Service System (CSS) Portal.
  2. Select the "Requests" option to submit your rain barrel purchase request.

If you do not have a Manatee County Utilities account, you can still purchase a rain barrel via IVR or Quickpay with Account #100187487:

  • Manatee County Interactive Phone Payment System
    Call 1-833-425-2099 (available 24/7) to make a payment using American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit cards, as well as MasterCard or Visa debit cards, or a U.S. checking or savings account. Please note: A transaction fee will apply to all credit and debit card payments.
  • 3. Manatee County Website – QuickPay
    You can make a one-time payment online 24/7 using the same payment methods listed above. Please note: A transaction fee will apply to all credit and debit card payments.

What’s Included in the Rain Barrel Kit?
Rain barrel kits cost $52.00 (including sales tax) and include:

  • A 55-gallon reconditioned plastic drum (colors may vary based on supply).
  • A debris drain, PVC fittings, and a brass spigot.
  • Assembly instructions and guidance for building a stand.
  • A homeowner’s guide from the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

Pickup Process
Once your payment and application are processed, a member of the Water Conservation Team will contact you to schedule a contact-free pickup appointment. Appointments are required.

  • All sales are final.
  • Barrel colors and parts may vary due to supply availability.
  • The Utilities lobby is currently closed to the public.
