The Independent Living Program offers three areas of vision rehabilitation training: Adjustment to Vision Loss courses teach adaptive techniques for daily tasks; Orientation and Mobility training provides techniques for safe travel in familiar and unfamiliar places and Assistive Technology offers training in the accessibility features of smart phones and tablets, as well as screen readers and magnification software. An individual may participate in one or all of the three areas of training, depending upon their goals.
