Manatee County is committed to strengthening community-based services that improve health, safety, stability, and quality of life for residents. Through the FY26–27 Health and Human Services Investments, the County will provide funding to eligible organizations delivering critical services in our community.
These investments support programs that address priority needs, promote collaboration, and demonstrate measurable community impact.

What Happens Next
Applications are currently under review. The County will evaluate submissions using Board-approved criteria, with input from the Health and Human Services Investment Review Committee.

A new Health and Human Services Investment Review Committee will support the application evaluation process for this funding cycle.
Health & Human Services Investment Review Committee
The Review Committee provides structured, objective input to staff using Board-approved criteria as part of the application evaluation process. The committee serves in an advisory capacity, and final funding decisions remain with the Board of County Commissioners.
Committee membership is anticipated to include representatives with expertise in the following areas:
• Philanthropic/Foundation Representative
• Financial Expert (budget feasibility review only)
• Housing Specialist
• Medical or Public Health Representative
• Licensed Healthcare Provider
• Senior Services Advocate
• Certified Contract Manager or Higher Education Representative

Pending Board approval, Manatee County anticipates opening applications for the Health and Human Services Investment Review Committee following the May 19, 2026 Board of County Commissioners meeting.

- 501(c)(3) status with the IRS
- Compliance with Resolution R-23-145 regarding affiliations

For agencies currently funded under the RAS performance-based model seeking continuation funding.
