The landfill will be closed on the following holidays:

General rules of using the landfill:

All vehicles entering the Lena Road Landfill must go across the scales at the scale house.
Payments can be made by cash, check, and all major credit cards.
Vehicles with low ground clearance are discouraged.
Use caution: be aware of other vehicles, workers on foot, equipment, traffic control devices, and overhead obstructions.
Scavenging is prohibited at any location at the Landfill.
Obey all posted signs.
Passenger vehicles (cars/SUVs) may drop off items at the residential drop off site at the landfill for a flat rate of $5.00 (trucks and trailers are excluded, including a trailer attached to a car or SUV).

Fees are determined by:

Type of Material (such as yard waste, tires, household garbage, etc.).
Weight of Material
Origin - Please note: waste brought from outside of Manatee County will be charged triple the fees.

Fees will be doubled for the following:

Improperly covered loads
Improperly separated loads (e.g., yard waste or tires mixed with regular garbage)

Accepted at the landfill for a fee:

Special wastes:

Soils, dredge materials, car wash and street sweeping grit, fill dirt, wastewater cake/sludge and other similar special waste require prior approval for disposal.
To dispose of asbestos at the Lena Road Landfill, haulers are required to call and schedule the drop-off a minimum of 24 hours in advance
Car parts or vehicles are not accepted at Lena Road Landfill.

Garbage - $46.00/ton, $23.00 minimum
Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) - $65.00/ton, $32.50 minimum
Yard Waste - $44.00/ton, $23.00 minimum
White Goods/Appliances - $44.00/ton, $23.00 minimum
Tires - $165.00/ton, $82.50 minimum
Non-Standard Waste- $65.00/ton, $32.50 minimum
Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Waste (Manatee County Residents Only) - FREE
Certified Weight - $5.00 each
Mixed Loads, Uncovered Loads - Double Charged
Material Outside of Manatee County - Triple Charged
