What's Next

Manatee County is implementing phased openings of public facilities and spaces. Reopening plans are tentative and could change.

At all public spaces, please continue to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing.

  • No more than 10 per gathering
  • Individuals and groups should stay 6 feet apart.

Week of May 25

  • Tennis and pickleball courts will open (with restrictions) on Wednesday, May 27
  • Skate parks will open on Wednesday, May 27 (limited hours)
  • A more detailed plan to reopen parks amenities and our popular Summer Blast Camp will be announced on Wednesday, May 27. This page will post all of the latest reopening plans, as soon as they're available.

Week of June 1

  • Library drive-through, in preparation for June 8 opening (with limited hours)
  • Public pool use (by appointment)
  • Outdoor fitness classes

Week of June 8

  • Libraries open (limited hours)
  • Public Pool Use Plan

  • League Play Plan

Week of June 15

  • Small Venue Plan
  • Large Venue Plan (including Bradenton Area Convention Center and Powell Crosley Estate)
  • League Play resume (with guidelines)

Now Open


Manatee County staff continue to serve the public and services will continue to operate despite the closure of public buildings. The public is encouraged to conduct transactions with the County online or over the phone whenever possible. Citizens can call 3-1-1 for more information.
