The State’s central location for filing business entities, trade and service marks, fictitious name registrations, judgment and federal tax liens, UCC financing statements, and notary commissions and apostilles. The Division serves as an informational resource for statewide business activities, registrations and certificates. We provide sole proprietors and companies with the legal right to do business in the state of Florida.

The Manasota Chapter of SCORE covers Sarasota and Manatee counties on the west coast of Florida. We have over 75 volunteers to assist you with your business problem-solving. We offer Education and Mentoring on a wide range of business issues.

Office provides help with services including funding programs, counseling, federal contracting certifications, disaster recovery and can connect you to our partner organizations, lenders, and other community groups that help small businesses succeed.

The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Muma College of Business, assists existing and emerging businesses in Sarasota and Manatee counties, through no-cost confidential business consulting, information, and low-cost training. Whether starting, buying, growing or selling a business, the Florida SBDC at USF has what entrepreneurs need to grow and succeed. Consultants can assist entrepreneurs in a variety of business areas, including marketing, business certification, capital access, market diversification, developing strategic business plans, export services, and web optimization.

Sarasota Tech Connect, LLC (SRQ-TC) is a not-for-profit community service meta-network connecting individuals and organizations who are interested in the development of high technology in the greater Sarasota area. SRQ-TC serves as a networking portal for like-minded people to share local tech news, ideas, align resources with entrepreneurs with mentors, advisors, potential investors, and with incubators organizations and co-work environments.

26 West Center - State College of Florida – The 40,000 square-foot 26 West Center is home to a suite of services for entrepreneurs including the Business Growth Lab that includes 11 offices and 29 desks that can be leased by anyone to start or expand a business.

Station 2 Innovation – At Station 2 Innovation we build community by supporting a space for coworking, collaboration and networking; serving entrepreneurs through education and peer support; and growing businesses with mentoring, resources, and connections.

USF Nault Center for Entrepreneurship – Through collaborative, interdisciplinary relationships and opportunities, the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship enables its diverse students to develop the critical skills necessary to identify new business opportunities, accelerate the commercialization of new technologies, and create and grow successful new business ventures through entrepreneurship or innovate within existing business through intrapreneurship.
