NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 125.66(2)(a), Florida Statutes, that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, will conduct a public hearing on September 22, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Commission Chambers, located on the first floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida, to consider the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE 26-36
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, REGARDING REGULATION OF SIMULATED GAMBLING DEVICES; CREATING ARTICLE XI OF CHAPTER 2-21 OF THE MANATEE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS; SETTING FORTH APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PROHIBITION AGAINST THE USE OF SIMULATED GAMBLING DEVICES; PROVIDING FOR EXEMPTIONS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS WITH STATE LAW; PROVIDING FOR VIOLATION, ENFORCEMENT, PENALTIES, AND REMEDIES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

According to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, any person desiring to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the above referenced meeting or public hearing will need a record of the proceedings, and, for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
