Ever wanted to try kayaking but weren't sure where to start? Join us at Lakewood Ranch Library for a beginner-friendly crash course taught by the Volunteer Coordinator from Manatee County Natural Resources! We'll cover everything from beginner-friendly launch sites and routes to safety essentials and wildlife habitat awareness so you'll leave feeling confident and ready to get out on the water. Plus, we'll share some fun ways to stay connected to our natural spaces long after this class ends, including opportunities to get involved with Natural Resources through shoreline clean-ups and other hands-on volunteer events around the county.
