Memorial Day Flag Placement
Volunteers are needed for the 2026 11th Annual Sarasota Memorial Day Flag Placement at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 FL-72, Sarasota.
Flag Placement at Sarasota National Cemetery will be held at 7:30 a.m. Families will place their loved one's flag at 7:50 a.m., remaining flags will be placed beginning at 8 a.m. Enter at East Entrance and park near maintenance. Rally Point is at the POW/MIA Flag Pole by 7:30 a.m. Bring a rubber mallet, a 6 inch Phillips screwdriver and a 12" ruler. Beverages will NOT be provided.
Flag Retirement will be 8 a.m. May 30, 2026, at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 FL-72, Sarasota.
