Teen Art Lab: Honoring Black Artists
Calling all creative teens! Teens (6th-12th grade) are invited to join us each month for a relaxed and inspiring art-making session at the library. Bring your imagination and connect with fellow young artists as you explore different materials, techniques, and themes. Whether you love drawing, painting, collage, or mixed media, this is your space to express yourself and try something new.
This month we'll take a look at two Black artists with bold styles: painter Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) and fabric artist Bisa Butler (1973) then create own pieces adopting their techniques. All supplies will be provided. We will be using acrylic paint, so please dress accordingly.
