Moody Branch Guided Walk at Moody Branch Wildlife and Environmental Area

Join Big Waters Land Trust for a naturalist-guided walk through Moody Branch Wildlife & Environmental Area to look for local wildlife and learn about land conservation. Explore the preserve at a leisurely pace, stopping to observe and identify plants and animals during the walk. Participants will learn how land managers, communities, and conservationists are collaborating to protect natural areas, such as Moody Branch, in southwest Florida. Program suitable for all ages. Participants under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toed shoes; no flip flops. This walk will require walking through loose sugar sand, stepping over or around fallen branches, and walking through tall grass. Please note there are no restrooms or water fountains available at the preserve. Program sponsored by Big Waters Land Trust in partnership with Manatee County.
