Winslow Homer
Winslow Homer was a chronicler of the Civil War whose works hang in the Smithsonian. After the War he became a chronicler of the Old West and the rising upper class on the East Coast. The range of his works is incredible, from sailing in dangerous water, to family dinners. Homer is also known for his paintings of life in Florida.
