Join Big Waters Land Trust and Manatee County Natural Resources for a leisurely bike ride through the scenic Duette Preserve, one of the region's largest and most ecologically significant natural areas. Our ride will follow approximately 12 miles of packed shell roads, perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable cycling experience suitable for most skill levels. Program suitable for all ages. Participants under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian and are required by Florida law to wear a helmet. Participants must provide their own bike. Please bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Some sections of our route have little to no shade, while others have lots of shade. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes. There are restrooms on site, and we will have a water cooler available for refills. You may wish to bring lunch or a snack to enjoy at the preserve after our ride. Program sponsored by Big Waters Land Trust in partnership with Manatee County.
