The differences between types of pastels
Blending: Finger blending is a great place to begin for pastel practice. -Feathering: The feathering technique creates dimension through layering colors.
Hatching and Cross-Hatching: This technique creates texture and depth through lines. Masking: Masking is a technique that involves covering areas of the paper with tape or other materials to create sharp edges.
Stippling: Stippling is a technique that involves creating texture through small dots.
Classes 5 and 6 will be creating projects selected by the students.
