Kirk Jones is a "FUNsician" who teaches beginner to intermediate ukulele lessons and performs in and around the Huntsville, Alabama area as well at Ukulele events all over the United States. Orangutan or Lion is a slogan he uses to describe himself because he loves being goofy and having fun like an Orangutan but can also muster up the courage, like a lion, to pull on your heartstrings. Kirk is the founder of the Ukulele Gatherings of North Alabama Ukulele Group and has been a Kala Ukulele Ambassador since 2023.
Kirk will teach us how to play "up the neck" of the ukulele using familiar chord shapes, adding range and dynamics to songs. He will also touch on "2nd Position" technique. After the workshop, he will perform solo and then lead the group in a play-along jam. Space is limited to 60 participants.
