Life in the Pines - Family Program

Join us for an educational adventure to the heart of a pine forest and discover the mysterious and wonderful creatures that live there. Pine trees play a vital role in our environment, offering food and shelter to wildlife and numerous resources to humans. Through hands-on activities and a guided nature walk, your child will engage their senses as they learn about pine forests and the plants and animals that reside there! Program suitable for children ages 6 to 10 years old and their families. A parent or guardian must stay on-site to assist and supervise their child(ren) for the duration of the program. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes, no flip-flops. You may wish to bring a picnic lunch or a snack to enjoy at the pavilion after the program. Restrooms and a water fountain are available on site. Program sponsored by Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast in partnership with Manatee County. Register online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/720775297317
