Wonderful Wiggly Worm Composting

Kids are fascinated by worms, and in this workshop the children will learn how red wiggler worms can turn our leftover food into rich compost, which reduces landfill waste and creates a super food for plants. They will learn basic worm anatomy and how red wiggler worms differ from the earthworms they normally see in their garden. The children will learn how a vermicomposting bin works, how to feed and care for the worms, and how to remove finished compost from the bin. Participants will assemble and decorate their own mini worm composting container to take home. Class is limited to 15 children, ages 6-10.

Class fee $5 per child. Fee includes all materials to make the mini worm composting container including worms.
