Sustainable Communities Workshop: Paddle Robinson Preserve Expansion

Join us for an easy paddle along the newly restored shorelines of the Robinson Preserve Expansion! This special site visit is part of the 16th annual Sarasota County Sustainable Communities Workshop. Participants will learn about the design, ongoing habitat improvements, and future plans for this new addition to Manatee County's preserve system while enjoying a relaxing evening on the water. Program suitable for ages 16 and older who can meet Manatee County's minimum eligibility requirements. This is an easy paddle that can be enjoyed by beginning kayakers. Ten sit-on-top single kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets are available to borrow free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis. Otherwise, participants must have their own canoe or kayak and safety gear. All participants must wear a life jacket and bring a whistle and a headlamp or flashlight. Program sponsored by Sarasota County Sustainable Communities Workshop in partnership with Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources. For more information contact [email protected].
