FAMILIES FLOCK TOGETHER: CALUSA WATER BIRD MASKS
Join us as we follow the footprints of Manatee County's first residents, the native Calusa people. In this family-friendly program, we will recreate our own Calusa water bird masks used during tribal festivities and explore evidence of Calusa history in southwest Florida. Then we will take a short hike around the Portevant Temple Mound complex and imagine the thriving communities that once lived on the shores of Emerson Point Preserve. Program suitable for children and their families. Reservations are required. To register please contact [email protected] or call (941) 742-5323 ext. 6044. EmersonPoint Preserve
