Navigating food safety requirements for farm and food businesses can be overwhelming even for the most experienced producers. Due to various types of exemptions, many small farm activities are exempt from food safety regulations, but as businesses expand, so do the demands from both buyers and regulators expecting proof of sound food safety practices. We’ll give an overview of some basic considerations and practices to help start and grow your farm food safety plan from the beginning of your farm and give advice for anticipating future food safety expectations as your farm expands.
Pre-registration fee is $15 and includes food safety plan template, light snacks, presentation handouts, and other publications and links to webpage resources. Registration fees do not include the EventBrite processing fees. If you wish to pay at the door, registration fee is $21.25; cash or check only.
