GOPHER TORTOISES: A KEYSTONE SPECIES
Join us to learn all about one of Florida’s shyest but most important residents – the gopher tortoise! It can be hard to spot a glimpse of these burrowing tortoises since they spend most of their lives underground. Meet our education tortoise and learn all about why we have him, how we care for him, and what you can do to help these important but threatened creatures. Program sponsored by the Manatee County Library System in partnership with PNRD. Program suitable for teens and adults. No reservations required.
