Jaywatch
For the fifth year in a row, Manatee County’s Parks and Natural Resources Department is partnering with the Audubon Society’s JayWatch and Quest Ecology to conduct a public JayWatch event at Duette Preserve. The survey, conducted over a 3-day period, offers a snapshot of the scrub jay families living within the preserve. Volunteers are needed to assist with this monitoring program. Individuals who would like to help track, sight, and record scrub jay sightings are welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to become a citizen scientist. Only a limited number of spaces are available. Suitable for ages 16 and older. Please let us know if you would like to attend! Please contact Marianne Korosy at [email protected] to register.
