Pet Amnesty Day at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
The Exotic Pet Amnesty Program is an effort to reduce the number of nonnative species being released into the wild by pet owners who can no longer care for their pets or no longer wish to keep them. This event provides the opportunity for people to surrender their exotic pets free of charge with no penalties. You can participate by surrendering your exotic pet or by adopting an exotic pet. Surrendered animals will be taken from 10am to 2pm. Adoptions will start after 2pm.
