Braden River Rookery Paddle and Photography Workshop

We will launch from the Braden River boat ramp for a 2 hour, 2 mile, late afternoon and sunset photo session starring the birds of the Braden River Rookery. Come to learn and share tips and techniques for great bird photography. Roseatte spoonbills, great egrets, great blue herons, cormorants, and other feathered fliers are building nests, displaying, and mating! We will be close enough for some great shots but will keep our distance to avoid stressing the birds. This is a great opportunity to study bird behavior, too! While not intended for first time kayakers, beginning kayakers are welcome on this trip. Participants must bring their own kayak, paddle, and PFD . Children age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult and wearing personal flotation device.
Reservations are required. Please call 941-742-5757 ext. 7.
