The Government Efficiency Liaison Committee completed its assigned review and presented its final report to the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners on July 28, 2026. The report found that County expenditure growth generally aligned with population growth and inflation and provided recommendations for potential action related to coordinated purchasing, Interlocal Agreement management, capital projects, and financial transparency. The purpose of the Manatee County Government Efficiency Liaison Committee is to interface directly with the EOG DOGE Team and County administration as we collectively seek solutions to reduce local government spending. This approach benefits the EOG DOGE effort by availing us of private- sector expertise while simultaneously providing a venue for the public to participate, be informed, and contribute to the betterment of our community.
