Overdose Prevention & Education Program (OPEP)

The goal of Manatee County’s Overdose Prevention and Education Program is to reduce opioid related overdoses by distributing free Narcan, providing education and training, and connecting individuals with peer support.

Manatee County Overdose Prevention & Education Program (OPEP) is funded through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) First Responders Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (FR-CARA) grant.
