Creating Service Requests

Step 1: Log into your CSS account.

Step 2: Click on the “Requests” tab and click “+New Request.”

Step 3: Filter through the subjects, click on the drop-down, select the request you want to make, and click “Request input.”

From there, you will go through the questionnaires and submit your requests. These will go to a designated specialist who will work on completing your request.

Self Service Requests Offered 

Solid Waste - Residential

  • Maintenance Request for County Garbage Bin: Use this request type if your Manatee County-provided garbage bin is damaged and needs to be replaced or repaired.
  • Missed Pickups and Complaints: Use this request type to file a garbage complaint or report a missed pickup. 
  • Additional Bin Request: Use this request type to request an additional Manatee County-provided bin. Each additional bin incurs a monthly service charge of $13.32, billed to your account.
  • Bulk Pickup: Use this request type if you have bulk items (furniture, white goods, electronics) that need to be picked up. This pickup incurs a fee of $59 per item, billed to your account. 
  • Recycling Cart: Use this request type if you are requesting your first recycling cart, an additional recycling cart, a repair or replacement of your current cart, or removal of a cart. Each additional recycling cart incurs a monthly service charge of $5.13, billed to your account.
  • Improperly Prepared Garbage Pickup: Use this request type if you have additional garbage bags or unprepared yard waste that needs to be serviced. This pickup incurs a fee based on cubic yard measurement of $45 per cubic yard, billed to your account. The request must be submitted prior to pickup occurring.

Solid Waste - Commercial

  • Missed Request for County Garbage Bin: Use this request type if your Manatee County-provided garbage bin is damaged and needs to be replaced or repaired.
  • Missed Pickups and Complaints: Use this request type to file a garbage complaint or report a missed pickup.
  • Request for Additional Bin(s): Use this request type to request an additional Manatee County-provided bin. Each additional bin incurs a monthly service charge of $13.32, billed to your account.
  • Dumpster Parts/Maintenance: Use this request type if your county-owned dumpsters or roll-offs are damaged and need to be repaired.
  • Improperly Prepared Garbage Pickup: Use this request type if you have additional garbage bags or unprepared yard waste that needs to be serviced. This pickup incurs a fee based on cubic yard measurement, billed to your account.
  • Bulk Pickup: Use this request type if you have bulk items (furniture, white goods, electronics) that need to be picked up. This pickup incurs a fee of $59 per item, billed to your account. 
  • Extra Lift Request: Use this request type if you want an additional pull and return on your roll-off or compactor. This pickup incurs a fee based off roll-off/compactor size, billed to your account.
  • Change Garbage Service: Use this request type to change your current garbage services to something different. You are only allowed to change your services up to two times a year.
  • Rollout Start/Stop Request: Use this request type to request that haulers roll out your dumpster from its enclosure for servicing, or if you want to end your rollout services. Starting rollout services incurs a monthly service charge based on distance of the rollout, billed to your account.
  • Gate Service Start/Stop Request: Use this request type if your garbage receptacle is behind a gate that requires haulers to exit the truck to open it, or if you currently have gate service and want to end it. Starting gate service incurs a monthly service charge of $45 per gate, billed to your account. 
  • Pickup and Bill Request: Use this request type to request that an indicator be placed on your account for haulers to pick up your bulk or improperly prepared items without providing the cubic yard amount.
  • Shared Agreement: Use this request type to establish a shared agreement on file for sharing your garbage services.

Customer Inquiries & Requests

  • Contact Information Change Request: Use this request type to have a customer experience specialist update your account contact information.
  • General Customer Request: Use this request type to have a customer experience specialist assist you with general inquiries.

Customer Submitted Meter Reading

  • Adjustment Read: Use this request type to attach a picture of your meter reading for the billing department to make any necessary adjustments.
  • Autoflush Meter Read: Use this request type if you have an Autoflush meter and need to submit a meter reading for your monthly billing.
  • Temporary Meter Read: Use this request type if you have a temporary meter and need to submit a meter reading for your monthly billing.

Discounts, Exemptions, & Certificates

  • Rain Barrel Purchase Requests: Use this request type if you are interested in purchasing a rain barrel.

Programs

  • Medical Rear Door Requests: Use this request type if you are not physically able to take your trash to the curb and want it picked up from your rear door.
  • Seasonal Service Request: Seasonal customers may use this request type to provide their service schedule. Submitting this request ensures our billing department properly records your account and does not flag the property for zero consumption.

Refunds

  • Refund Request: Use this request type to ask for a refund of any credit balance on your account.
