About Infrastructure Planning

Infrastructure Planning’s primary responsibilities include preparing business cases for the Capital Improvement Program, utility master planning for new development and future build-out for water, wastewater and reclaimed water models, and processing developer agreements. Infrastructure Planning collaborates with departments and stakeholders to define and update project scopes, schedules and preliminary cost estimates for transportation, stormwater and some utility Capital Improvement Projects. The division also manages special assessments for Municipal Service Benefit Units, handles right-of-way acquisition assistance, coordinates transportation capital funding requests and grant applications and administers the neighborhood street lighting program.
