Manatee County to Host First-Ever Health & Wellness Expo

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (April 1, 2026) — Manatee County will host its first-ever Health & Wellness Expo on Tuesday, April 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, in recognition of World Health Day.

The free event will bring together more than 80 local healthcare providers, wellness vendors and community organizations, creating a one-stop shop for health and wellness in Manatee County.

At the expo, residents will be able to receive complimentary health screenings, try short fitness and wellness classes, and speak directly with providers and organizations about services available throughout Manatee County.

“This is a great example of how we can make a real impact by connecting residents directly with the resources available to them,” said District 6, At-Large Commissioner Jason Bearden. “When we remove barriers and simplify access, we create healthier outcomes for our entire community.”

The event was developed in response to needs identified by County teams working directly with the community. Many residents are interested in improving their health but face challenges in knowing where to begin. Accessing care often requires navigating multiple providers, scheduling separate appointments, and coordinating visits across different locations.

This event brings those resources together in one place and makes it easier to take that first step.

“This event is about making health and wellness more accessible,” said Sonia Shuhart, Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor of the county’s Community Health program. “We want people to feel comfortable asking questions, learning what is available, and taking that first step without feeling overwhelmed.”

The Health & Wellness Expo is open to Manatee County residents of all ages.
