Friends 2026 Travel & Lecture Series: "AI: What It Is and What It Can Do For Us"

Artificial Intelligence – so many possibilities but so complex. Ryan Nunez is a librarian with the Manatee County Library System. He works at the Central Library in the Information Services Department, where he also serves as Coordinator of the Archive Lab. With more than 11 years of experience in public libraries, Ryan is dedicated to helping the community discover, preserve, and share its stories. At the Archive Lab, he focuses on making local history accessible and supporting residents in preserving their own family heirlooms, photographs, and personal collections through digitization and informational programming. Ryan earned his Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of South Florida and is passionate about connecting people with the resources, knowledge, and tools that keep their memories - and Manatee County's history - alive for generations to come.
