Veterans Day Mass
Sarasota National Cemetery will be hosting a Veterans Day Mass. Join the Diocese of Venice at 2:45 p.m. Nov. 11, 2025, at Patriot Plaza.
Sarasota National Cemetery is one of 9 National Cemeteries in the state of Florida and as of September 2023 is the final resting place of more than 38,000 Veterans, their spouses, and their qualified dependents.
The ceremonial amphitheater “Patriot Plaza” was dedicated and donated to the National Cemetery Administration by The Patterson Foundation of Sarasota on June 28, 2014.
Patriot Plaza features commissioned art that honors veterans, inspires patriotism, and embraces freedom. The amphitheater is a place of peace and reflection and exists for our community to honor veterans through ceremonies and events for generations to come.
