Parrish Playworks Presents: Edgar and Emily, A Play by Joseph McDonough

In this comic fantasia, on a cold January night, a presumably dead Edgar Allan Poe barges into the bedroom of poet Emily Dickinson, dragging his coffin behind him. The frantic Poe has miraculously escaped death but is hiding from his doppelganger, who seeks his life. Together they confront each other with the challenges of life, death and art. The show is a macabre and witty tale that gives the audience insight into the lives of these poets as well as their art.
