Life;Story 5K/10K for Suicide Prevention will be held 7 a.m. September 20 at Nathan Benderson Park. There is a $5 registration discount for military, veterans and first responders for Life;Story. Manatee County Veterans Services will have a table at the event. 

The suicide rate for Veterans is 52.3% greater than on-veteran US adults. First responders are more likely to die by suicide than in the line of duty. This scenic or virtual 5K/10K run or walk will help bring community awareness to suicide prevention. Participation and donations help ensure crisis services are available to those experiencing thoughts of suicide.
