PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOTOUT AT ROBINSON PRESERVE
Grant JefferiesPhotography is hosting a two-day Photography Shootout at Robinson Preserve to raise awareness of the area’s wildlife and the importance of preserving important habitats. Between January 4th and 5th, entrants will shoot photos to compete in several categories including wildlife, landscape, and people using the preserve as well as a separate category for cell phone photography. Organizers will be on-site at the NEST on January 4thfrom 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again on January 5th at 1:00 PMto answer any questions about the contest. A panel of judges will select the best photos from the two-day shootout and the winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 10th at 6:00 PM. There will be prizes for the best photos in each of the categories, and one photo will be chosen to be displayed in the Valentine House in Robinson Preserve in Spring2020. Proceeds from the event benefit Give a Kid a Camera, a nonprofit organization that teaches photography and communication skills to underprivileged children.
