Alert Manatee: Sign up for Emergency Alerts

Sign up for the Alert Manatee to receive notifications from government and public safety officials. 

If you were previously signed up for CodeRED, you will no longer receive those alerts. You must sign up for the new Alert Manatee system to receive emergency alerts.

You will receive alerts for emergency updates such as evacuation notices, boil water advisories, weather warnings, and hazardous traffic or road conditions. You can opt to receive notifications by phone call, text or email.

I am already signed up for CodeRED notifications. Why should I subscribe to Alert Manatee?

Beginning Nov. 1, the county will no longer be using CodeRED for its emergency messages, so you’ll need to subscribe to Alert Manatee to continue getting emergency messages from the County. 

What kinds of notifications will I see?

All subscribers to Alert Manatee will receive weather alerts from the National Weather Service. You may also receive:

  • Air quality alerts
  • Boil water advisories
  • Evacuation center openings
  • Hazardous material incidents
  • Evacuation alerts
  • Red tide updates
  • Sewage spill notices
  • Storm debris removal
  • Water outages

How will I know a phone call or email is coming from Alert Manatee?

Email messages will come from Alert Manatee (noreply@mymanatee.org) and phone calls will display (941) 749-3500 on the phone's caller ID.

How do I register?
You can sign up for notifications by creating an account on the Everbridge website, where you can designate how you would like to be contacted. To receive text alerts, you must add your SMS (text message) phone number(s).

Do I need to provide an address or location?

Providing a home or work location is not required. However, you will not receive important localized alerts (such boil water notices) without at least one location in your profile.  You are able to add up to 5 addresses in your account. The primary (location 1) should be your home address.

What if my contact information changes?

You may update your address or notification information through your Everbridge profile. If you need assistance or at any time wish to be removed, call Manatee County Emergency Management at (941) 749-3500 ext. 1673, or email matthew.myers@mymanatee.org.

Will my contact information be shared with others?

 No, the information you provide will only be used by Manatee County to send you alerts. Your contact information will never be sold to an outside entity.
