Holiday collections
When a holiday falls on a scheduled pickup day, garbage, recycling and yard waste will be collected one day later than your scheduled pickup day for the rest of that week. Regular collection days resume the following Monday.

Garbage do's & don'ts:
Do prepare your garbage properly:
- BAG IT: Use sturdy garbage bags.
- CAN IT: Place garbage in County-provided garbage bin.
- Garbage must be placed at the curb before 6 a.m.
Don’t throw out:
- Medicine and sharps (contact County Health Department)
- Household Hazardous Materials

How should I prepare my garbage for pickup?
- Waste should be bagged, tied, and placed in your County-provided gray bin with lid closed.
- Please do not place household waste, or yard waste inside the blue recycling bins.
What are my garbage service days?
Residential household waste is collected once per week. Use our Resident Information Tool or view the map to determine your garbage collection days.
What time is my garbage pickup?
Your waste must be placed in one location, not more than three feet from the curb or road, before 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection. Residential collection can be anytime between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Furniture and household items
- Large items (furniture, mattress, tires, etc.) can be placed at the curb with your regular garbage and picked up for a fee. You can request this bulk pickup on your Customer Self Service portal. They will provide a cost estimate based on the information provided at the time of scheduling the pickup.
White goods/appliances
- White goods are large appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, dryers, stoves, water heaters and freezers.
- There is a fee for curbside disposal per appliance or item.
- You may also elect to dispose of your item at the landfill for a fee.
- To schedule pick up of white goods, submit a service request on your Customer Self Service portal.
How do I schedule a pickup for tires?
- Tires require a special pickup for a fee per tire.
- Semi and equipment tires will not be collected curbside.
- Please note: Tires are collected in a separate truck.
- You may also bring your tires to the Landfill for a fee.
- To schedule pick up a tire, submit a service request on your Customer Self Service portal.
Construction and demolition material
- Properly prepared residential construction & demolition material within your garbage bin with the lid closed will be picked up for free on your residential garbage collection days.
- To schedule a pickup of C&D, submit a service request on your Customer Self Service portal.
