Utilities Checklist for High Bills

To help us determine if you qualify for an adjustment, please complete the following steps:

  1. Have you checked your flow indicator for possible leaks? (Yes/No)

  2. Have you verified your meter reading? (Yes/No)  If the reading on your bill is incorrect, please record your current reading and contact Manatee County Utilities at 941-792-8811 for correction. 

  3. Have you dye-tested your toilets? (Yes/No)

  4. Are you a seasonal resident? (Yes/No)
    • If yes, were you present during the period of the high bill? (Yes/No)
  5. Do you irrigate your lawn? (Yes/No)
    • If yes, have you checked your irrigation system for issues (e.g., broken heads, pipes, or malfunctioning timers/sensors)? (Yes/No)
    • How often do you irrigate (times per week)?
    • How many minutes per zone?
    • How many zones?
