While first protecting the public, the Manatee County Probation Division is committed to providing ethical, compassionate supervision and monitoring of defendants placed under their charge by the courts in Manatee County. To the best of their ability, they follow the directives of the court and serve as the conduit between the courts and many agencies that serve the criminal justice community in our county.

Programs

• Probation Program: provides compassionate supervision of clients while monitoring court ordered conditions.
• Pretrial Intervention: this is a 90 -day program for first time offenders. Upon successful completion, the State Attorney will not file criminal charges.
• Pretrial Release: alternative to pretrial detention for qualifying arrestees, while ensuring safety of the community.
• Victim Impact Panel: monthly awareness program for clients who are charged with DUI.
• Offender Work Program: provides a sentencing alternative. In lieu of time in Manatee County Jail, participants perform various labor activities throughout the County, saving thousands of dollars to taxpayers.
