On March 6th, members of Manatee County’s Grant Division team participated in a workshop for CDBG-DR (Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery) grantees. Hosted by Resilient SRQ, this workshop brought together grant administration teams from across the Suncoast region, to include the counties of Manatee, Sarasota, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco. This event yielded vital community relationships and resources to support the development of Lasting Manatee: Manatee County’s program to allocate funds and execute projects in use of our $252 million CDBG-DR grant award.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery is available for projects that address Manatee County’s unmet needs and enable long-term recovery efforts following the 2024 Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton.
