The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (BACVB) drives tourism in Manatee County through targeted marketing and initiatives funded exclusively by the 6% Tourist Development Tax, and reviewed by the Tourist Development Council, with approval by the Board of County Commissioners. This tax, increased by voter approval in November 2024, is applied to overnight stays in short-term accommodations in Manatee County. The BACVB collaborates closely with Bradenton-Sarasota International Airport to boost visitor traffic to the area, as well as oversees two key sub divisions: Arts & Culture, which highlights local artistic and cultural attractions, and the Film Commission, which supports film production in the county.
